It’s been 5+ years since I started to do photography. My first photo was taken with my olympus pocket camera and edit it on Adobe Photoshop. I did it just for fun, didn’t do much on editing, basically just transforming it into different kinds of effect. From there then I started to post it on several photo sites and trying to do a bit more serious in editing my pic. I met with other photographers from all over the world and I can see different kind of style and taste in every each one of them. It’s pretty cool to be able to learn new photography techniques and enjoying beautiful pictures everyday at the same time. More practice in taking shots with manual settings and understanding the principal of art which luckily I learn it in college pretty much improve my photography until then I discovermy own style. I manage to print 5 photo book last year, nothing fancy just something I could share with my grandchildren one day 😊
Soft dreamy effect from this Lensbaby Spark is the effect that I’m going for, but I still can get a little bit of on-focus part of the object. This kind of photography is almost like water colour drawing it amaze me how it can create paint like photos. Although it needs a bit of practicing on how to operate the lens, but it will surprise you once you get the hang of it. Here are some of the results.
Every Saturday I will post photos with the theme ‘Simplicity’. All of it which is taken by me and edited by me and obviously the way I see it and interpret it. Let me just breakdown the meaning of ‘simplicity’ according to Dictionary.com :
/sɪmˈplɪsɪti/ Show Spelled [sim-plis-i-tee] Show IPA
noun, plural sim·plic·i·ties.
1.the state, quality, or an instance of being simple
2.freedom from complexity, intricacy, or division into parts: an organism of great simplicity.
3.absence of luxury, pretentiousness, ornament, etc.; plainness: a life of simplicity.
4.freedom from deceit or guile; sincerity; artlessness; naturalness: a simplicity of manner.
5.lack of mental acuteness or shrewdness: Politics is not a field for simplicity about human nature
As for my photos, I think #1 is the best to describe it but I will be open to all opinions. This photo was taken last week when we had this ice storm coming our way. Freezing rain and although it’s not really a pleasant weather but the scenery is really beautiful. Captured few of it, but here’s one.
In life there’s always ups and downs that we have to deal with, weather you like it or not. Most important thing is for us to keep moving on and never look back, if at some point you need to look back just consider it as a evaluation…..learn from your mistakes.
